Crimson Lights Catering opened for business in June 2006. The business is owned
by husband-wife team Lacy and Shirley Massey. They are known for their roast beef,
grilled chicken breast, scalloped potatoes, broccoli-rice casseroles, chicken pastry
and home-made biscuits.
The caterers currently operate out of Triangle South Enterprise Center, a business
incubator located in Dunn NC. The dining room at Triangle South seats 125 is a great
for social, business, and political events.
The name Crimson Lights was chosen to represent the Lacy and Shirley's Christian
values. Crimson, a red color, stands for Christ's blood and symbolizes love, while
Lights stands for God's light of the world.
The Masseys love cooking and they love people. They got into large-group cooking
at their church, Gospel Tabernacle, where they often prepare food for special occasions.
Shirley is a former office manager who tried retirement but missed being in contact
with people. Lacy has been in the food business since 1969, as a Winn-Dixie store
manager and with Nash Finch.
